Thank you so much for this list of candidates! I checked through the whole list to see who was also endorsed by Climate Cabinet, and made donations to all nine of those. That was more meaningful to me than spreading my resources very thin across the dozens of candidates endorsed by them.

The free press (MSM) has given Trump a pass since he first began to campaign. He was never called out for any of his atrocious lies, or if he was, media corporate bosses would not allow it to be published. They can no longer be trusted for keeping society fully informed. They may not be fully to blame for those uneducated, or undereducated, souls who seem to not understand what he is telling them. The SCOTUS has also played a damming role by allowing gerrymandering, giving immunity to Trump, and ruling for Christian interest knowing they are breaking down the wall of separation between church and state: a direct assault on democracy.

Therefore we turn to independent journalist to help us keep up. As an electorate, our society us poorly informed. Few seek sources other than those who are saying what they want to hear.

Self deception is very difficult to overcome.

Thank you for the articles.

I am not a paying follower. Yet.

I know a lot of reporters who are brilliant and doing their jobs for the right reason, and even have good editors who work for hours on end. But something just seems to happen with these headlines and framing. I think a lot of it is ingrained in them, generations of this outdated notion of balance, and the fear of being accused of bias.

One thing I left out of the piece is just how much bad faith backlash the media gets from the right-wing any time there is any hint at accountability in the coverage. A lot of that really gets internalized, because all they have is their reputation for accuracy. But in trying so desperately to seem impartial, they roam away from reality.

It's a shame, too, because the investigations they conduct are still vital and the facts they often unearth could change the course of elections, if only the election coverage would recognize the gravity of them instead of trying to provide false balance.

Harris has only a 1 point advantage over Trump? You better hope Pew is NOT very good, because it's common knowledge she needs a 3 point advantage to win. 1 point means, welcome back, Trump...and the end of democracy.

A scary voter poll-and a good reason all Democrats must push for free college and universal Pre-K. Some great races to help. Sadly late for me, although I early donated $100 to the Wisconsin Dems. As a middle class retiree I donated several thousand this year (Democracy on the line) so all I have left I am prioritizing the Senate races in Florida, Texas, and Nebraska as well as Harris President campaign. Next election please give these races early so I can help early. Thank you for your best post and thanks for previously warning folks about do-nothing Dickie Durban- he is not passing Biden's judge nominees because of the stupid "blue slip" senate rule.

Good morning Jordan, thank you for the down ballot lowdown. I kicked in a good one because it made sense. This morning Mother Jones just put up a down ballot search tool called Flip the states.

<flipthestates.com>. Worth checking out if you are not already familiar with it. I tabbed it and will go into it when I get another cup of coffee.

Check out York County, PA and congressional district 10 where Janelle Stelson is polling ahead of Scott Perry. Jamie Raskin will be canvassing with her in Dillsburg, which she calls the Lion’s Den.”

Also in that same area is State Senate race for PA31 where Mark Temons is the Democrat who is faced off against Dawn Keefer, current state rep for PA-92 and best buds with Scott Perry. She wants an advancement to State Senate.

In the PA-92 State House race Dan Almoney, an IVF dad, is making his second try, this time against Marc Anderson, a “no exceptions “ advocate. Dan is a long shot, but he’s killing it in the canvassing department, attendance at school board & supervisor meetings throughout the district. The Northern York Democratic Club has knocked over 19,000 doors since the primary promoting these three candidates.
