Are you surprised at how quickly the party consolidated behind Kamala's coronation since you posted this? I'm not. This party has never been Democratic.
I too am heartbroken that our President had to endure weeks of humiliating pressure from his closest allies to withdraw from the race.
This letter, however, is his George Washington moment! the man has such grace under pressure. I hope he doesn't fade away. He endorsed Kamala Harris and so will I.
She is intelligent and capable. She will not need "training wheels" to get into position. [Remember all the excuses Republicans made for Trumps early gaffes in office?! "He is new, give him a chance", blah, blah, blah. the truth is, trump was never capable to hold the position.
The money that is now in the coffers for Joe Biden will go to Kamala, hopefully seamlessly, especially that we have only 106 days until the election. We can't continue to squabble over folks who9 have not even indicated that they wanted the job [Gretchen Whitmer said no, Gavin Newsome said no. I'm not sure about the 2 others that are mentioned]
This may be the time for a unity ticket. Maybe Adam Kizinger or even Liz cheney for VP. I wish Sherrod Brown would jump in. Good values, working class union guy.
Liz Cheney is horrible. She's right about trump, but she is still, through and through, Dick Cheney's daughter, and she carries all the baggage that comes with that.

I think Adam Kinzinger would be a great choice for whoever wins the nomination.

Wow, Jordan, just wow. It has to be Harris. I would like to see her bar arms and aid to Israel.
Me too. And I'm encouraged that, at least rhetorically, she's been more or less on the right side of the crisis in Gaza.
The pressure to withdraw did not come from voters. It came from pundits like you and the NY Times.
65% of Democrats and 72% of Independents wanted him to withdraw. What are you talking about?
But we as voters will be supporting whoever wins the nomination. It’s done. Time to move on.

I still think whoever replaces Biden, most Americans will vote against Trump.
I’m heartbroken but I understand why he is stepping aside! I support the Democratic Party in this election no matter who we choose!
