Gov. DeSantis [DeSatan, if you like!] and before him, now-Senator Rick Scott, each refused to expand Medicaid. "Perennial Scrooges"; better still, CRUEL, SELFISH. Rumor had it that even Scott's Mom had wanted him to expand Medicaid but she died.
Please, as we get closer to 2024 election time, remind us readers what the governors of Florida, Iowa and Nebraska have done - and encourage us to spread the word to folks we know in those states and encourage them to share the info with other voters in their states. Spreading facts to prospective voters is an important parallel track to donating funds to worthy organizations.
That’s the plan! Arming readers and their communities with critical information is the foremost goal of the newsletter. I’ll make sure everyone remembers what these governors did here.
Moral Visigoths? Didn’t they sack Rome when Rome started starving them out and taking their children for slaves? Maybe moral Romans is the better term.
I just meant it as plunderers at the end of a civilization.
You’re right, though — Iowa actually passed the worst child labor rollback in the country last year and Florida is on the verge of passing its own. Its obvious why they won’t give kids food — they want young teens to allow themselves to be exploited for minimum wage in order to pay for it.

If you feed a body, you create positive potential.
I won $100 with a lottery ticket. I've split it 4 ways for these food banks.
It is my pleasure. I also try to give what I can to the local food bank here in MD.
No one should go hungry. I've experienced it in my youth. It is horrible.
Thanks for letting us know how to help do what the governors won't. Donated $50 to food banks in FL, IA and NE.
Amazing, thank you!
