I'm from Cobb County. Grew up there during the halcyon days of Newt Gingrich. It's absolutely wild to me that a) Lucy McBath won the district in 2018 and now b) the elections board is trying to reign challenges to voter eligibility. Glimmers of hope, I suppose...
Also, and I don't mean to be a downer, but it's a little discouraging that the states that are passing progressive policy via ballot referendums aren't also showing the GOP the door in their state governments...
They failed to kill ballot amendments in Missouri, which they wanted to make nearly impossible to pass; failed to kill the abortion rights amendment in Arizona; failed to kill open primaries and ranked choice in Idaho. The Arizona pamphlet description of abortion is unlikely to lead to its defeat, even if it’s partisan hackery.
